About Us

Our Approach

We resource all of our materials locally. Any wood that has been previously-used and abandoned, thrown on the rubbish tip, still has a lot of life left in it. When a tree is felled in a typhoon, more often than not it ends up as rubbish, on the tip.

A tree will live for 30, 40 or 50 years before its wood is harvestable. Once cut down and harvested, it takes another 30, 40 or 50 years to replace that tree. For too many years we have not be managing our forests properly. In the case of hardwoods and exotic species, we have done little or nothing at all.

Many exotic hardwoods have become scarce and critically endangered, yet our desire for things of beauty made from wood has not lessened.

It is our mission to salvage reusable woods of high quality and repurpose them into newly functional products.

Meet the Team

To be able to create wood products in harmony with our environment takes a lot of care and sensitivity.
There are a lot of creatures involved in the process.
